Is Plusnet Unlimited really Unlimited
How much broadband can I use? All our broadband is now unlimited. So you can go online as much as you like without worrying about having to pay extra.
However, we haven’t always offered unlimited broadband, so if you signed up for Plusnet a while ago you might still have a limit on how much you can use.
Does Plusnet throttle broadband
Plusnet do not throttle speeds. You can only use bandwidth once so if you do a speed test whilst download you will get a report showing slower speed.
Is Plusnet 0800 number free
You will not be charged anything for the call. Plusnet makes it easy for you to call 0800 numbers by providing this service free of charge.
You do not have to worry about a service or rate fee.
What’s the difference between Plusnet hub 1 and 2
The Plusnet Hub One is a repurposed BT Home Hub 5A. The Smarthub 2 is currently the latest BT offering.
It has better WiFi performance than the older device. The latest Plusnet Hub Two is based on the Smarthub 2.
Will Plusnet send me a new router
Request a replacement router when you renew your contract or Plusnet will charge you for one.
Plusnet will provide you with a free router when you renew your contact, but only if you ask for one within 3 months of renewing your contract.
If you ask for one after 3 months, they will charge you.
Does Plusnet do WIFI calling
Re: Call quality when using wifi calling You have a more basic problem, PlusNet Mobile doesn’t support Wifi calling.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
Does Plusnet work with Sky Q
Re: Sky Q and plusnet Changing broadband provider doesn’t require returning any Q television boxes, just the Sky Hub.
Multiscreen and Mini boxes work with any fixed line ISP: they get their data signal from the main Q box, which itself talks to the new router.
Does Plusnet have a data cap
Set a spend cap so you can splurge your data not your cash with Smart Cap.
What is Plusnet Smart Cap? Smart Cap lets you set a monthly spend limit outside of your call, text and data allowance.
So if you’re having a busy month in the UK or travelling abroad, you’ll never pay more than the Smart Cap amount you’ve set.
Does Plusnet charge for voicemail
To check your messages just call 555 from your mobile, or dial your mobile number.
To access your voicemail messages remotely you’ll be asked to enter your 5-8 digit PIN.
Calling your voicemail from your mobile won’t cost anything extra because it’s included in your plan.

Does Plusnet broadband include TV
In addition to Freeview channels and on demand content, YouView TV from Plusnet includes our Entertainment and BT Sport Lite channel packs as standard.
Can I use my Sky router with Plusnet
Sadly you can’t use your old Sky Q hub with PlusNet as Sky locked down the firmware and you can’t reconfigure it.
Your mileage may vary, of course. As for using a mesh network, those will work fine as they just plug into an Ethernet port on your router.
Can I switch from Sky to Plusnet

We won’t charge you for moving home if you take out a new contract.

Can I replace my Plusnet router with a better one
Basically any ADSL/VDSL combined Modem/Router from a third party manufacturer such as Asus, Netgear TP-Link etc., will work, but none are what you might call a ‘direct replacement’.
The Plusnet hubs just need plugging in. Any replacement requires you to follow simple instructions to configure them.
How can I speed up my Plusnet Internet
Don’t connect too many devices to your hub as it may slow your broadband down.
If you’ve got a TV, console or PC use an Ethernet cable for a more reliable connection.
Try testing your Wi-Fi with more than one device – this will allow you to see if the issue is with your device rather than your broadband service.
Does Plusnet have a live chat
Plusnet Live Chat has an award winning customer support service through its Web Chat feature that is available 7 days a week.
They have different support teams for different departments answering customers queries and questions.

Can I keep my BT email address if I move to Plusnet
Re: Plusnet question and keeping my BT email address You can keep your email address regardless of provider.
You either have to have premium mail at £7.50/m which allows access via mail clients and mail apps or Basic mail which is free but is only accessible via webmail.
Moving to Plusnet doesn’t change that.

Does Plusnet automatically renew
The following details are the same, whether you’ve got fibre or standard broadband: Once your minimum term expires you’ll be switched to a rolling monthly contract automatically.
When can I leave Plusnet
We require 14 days’ notice in order to cancel a residential account and 28 days’ notice to cancel a business account.
The notice can be provided either by notifying us directly via phone or in writing, or if you’re moving to another provider, we will accept that provider’s order notification as notice.
How long is a Plusnet contract
Plusnet contracts usually last 12 or 18 months. If you must leave Plusnet while still in-contract, you will be charged an early termination fee, which will vary according to how much time is left in your contract.

Unlimited Fibre (12 and 18 month contracts) For new Plusnet customers that sign up for 12 or 18 months (as appropriate).
Line rental is included in the price (line only, no calls included).
How long does Plusnet take to activate
How long does it take to set up? If you’re new to broadband your service should be up and running after 5-10 working days.
If you’re transferring your service from another provider there’s a 10 working day minimum period and you’ll be able to choose a set up date if you wish.
Does Plusnet use Openreach
As a BT-owned subsidiary, it’s no surprise Plusnet runs on the Openreach network, although Plusnet is a separate company run by a different management team.
