What is the Shawmobilehotspot wifi network? We are now leveraging a feature on Shaw Internet customers’ Fibre+ Gateway and Hitron modem that broadcasts a secondary WiFi network from a single home modem.
This secondary WiFi network is accessible by Shaw Mobile and Freedom Mobile customers to keep them better connected.
Does Shaw have WiFi 6
Can I use WiFi 6 with my Shaw Internet service? Yes. Currently only the Shaw Gateway 2.0 (XB7) supports WiFi 6.
If you have the Gateway 2.0, any WiFi 6 compatible device connected to your home network will use the WiFi 6 standard.

Shaw Go WiFi is available to everyone at over 100,000 Shaw Go WiFi hotspots across Canada.
