Like some of you, TalkTalk is a Bt customer. We, and many other telecoms companies, depend on BT Openreach (the part of BT that runs the wires and cable making up the main broadband network) to deliver our customers’ broadband.
Are BT and TalkTalk The Same
On the face of it, BT and TalkTalk are pretty similar. They both offer fibre optic packages and unlimited downloads.
Each has its own TV service and they both use the Openreach network to deliver broadband to the home.
Is TalkTalk a BT line
You don’t have to switch all your services over, but it’s important to understand that both TalkTalk TV and Bt tv are not standalone products – TalkTalk TV is only available to households with TalkTalk broadband and you need BT broadband to get BT TV.

Yes, assuming you have moved your phone line over to TalkTalk then that will end your contract with BT (BT may well contact you with a ‘sorry to see you go’ letter).
The cost of your TalkTalk service includes the cost of your broadband and the line rental that you will then be paying to TalkTalk.

While TalkTalk is no longer taking on new mobile customers, other TalkTalk services, including broadband and TV, will not be affected.
